Why yoga is good for your digestion

The impact of stress on the digestive system is very real. Simply blood is not supplied to the digestive organs, so we can’t digest and assimilate our nutrients. Becoming aware of our stressors is really important and making changes so they have less impact on our lives. Sometimes we can’t remove the stress but we can change the impact of it on our lives. Developing a yoga practice introduces us to mindfulness of our body, by connecting with our body thru our breath. Attending a yoga class is great if we are new to this but developing a short home practice daily can have amazing results.
