Do you need more PROTEIN in your diet?

Have you had at least 3-4 servings of protein rich foods per day?
Protein rich foods supply the body with essential amino acids, they are important in our body for maintaining muscle mass, physical structure, weight managment, immunity, hormone production and give us saiety in our meals, helping us to feel full. Ensuring a good daiy intake is important when planning meals, naturally we think of lean meats, fish, eggs, chicken, dairy products, yoghurt as protien sources, but think again there is many other choices to add in to your daily diet, legumes, beans, seeds, nuts, tofu, tempeh.
You can always fortify your food with some added protien powder, ie porridge, shake, smoothie or add in an egg white. Getting the portion size is very important, unless you are a body builder serving should be the size and thickness of your palm. Add in some protein rich snacks and you will look and feel good.
