Are you sick and tired of feeling sick and tired ?
Ladies are you tired of low energy levels, weight gain, feeling cold in hands and feet, low mood, goiter, poor memory and heavy periods. You maybe suffering from an underactive thyroid gland. Up to 80% of woman will experience an underactive thyroid gland through out there life. It may be down regulated by elevated cortisol levels from chronic stress. The busy woman who is on the go from dawn to dusk year in and year out, who does not have have much time for herself, always giving out to others. Despite the low calorie diet and vigorous exercise the weight does not come off.
An even greater percentage of the population in new Zealand are also iodine deficient, with our dietary intake of iodine rich foods deficient in our diet, and our reduction in adding iodized salt to food. Iodine is the key mineral for the thyroid gland along with selenium. Iodine in stored in the thyroid, breast and ovaries and has been shown to reduce the incidence of fibrocystic breast disease and polycystic ovaries. I offer Iodine testing, now available in new Zealand, which diagnoses iodine deficiency, also the possibility of haloid inference of iodine absorption, chlorine, fluoride and bromine.
For an accurate assessment and diagnosis of your thyroid condition, I can help with ordering a comphrensive Blood Test, which is tested by an independant lab in Australia. Tests all thyroid functions, T4, T3, TSH, Reverse T3 and antibodies. This is a very accurate test and helps to form an indepth treatment plan.
I specialize in the testing and treatment of thyroid and adrenal disorders. In my clinical practice I use a combination of high potency iodine therapy, herbal and nutritional support for thyroid and adrenal conditions, and good dietary practices sometimes with the exclusion of gluten free grains, especially if there is thyroid antibodies.
