About Tina
I have always been interested in health and well-being, I played doctors and nurses as a young child. I developed a love for food and cooking in my early years, and have continued to grow and love food and cooking. After completing school I trained as an RN and worked in a variety of community and hospital settings as a nurse for over 10 years, I continue to work casually as a nurse in the community.. In 2000 I completed a diploma in Aromatherapy and Naturopathy at Wellpark college and became a registered naturopath. My interest didn’t stop there and I studied and became a Medical Herbalist. I completed in long distance running events for several years, and completed two marathons, which i enjoyed but found physically hard on my body, I now just run at my leisure. After practising yoga for ten years and experiencing its profound healing benefits and seeing how well it worked for others, I decided to become a yoga teacher. i am a 300 hour qualified yoga teacher, completing further training this year at Ashram Yoga.
In my practice as a holistic therapist I recommend and integrate my love for good food, yoga, work/play lifestyle balance, meditation, sports into treatment plans for my clients, listening to them and making a program to suit their interests and goals.
Over many years I have seen the healing power of herbs and yoga and breathing just so many times. I am astonished that these simple remedies are not taught in schools. If you ask me everyone should know at least do some yoga, eat nourishing food, because a little bit can go a very long way to make your life so much better.
